Google Classroom

I really like using Google Classroom last year and now that I will have Chromebooks in my classroom I feel like the students will be using it more as well. I like having the option of reducing the amount of paper used in class for assignments as students will be able to turn them in on line. This also worries me with the students who have limited access at home to finish assignments at home. The only other thing that I would like to see Google do with Classroom is to make a way for parents to "see" what is going on and assignments with out the access to submit the assignments.

Advanced:

Use Doctopus and Goobric. I know that Doctopus and Goobric sound like the names of intergalactic space aliens, but relax and put your blasters away. They are actually really cool tools that are used to attach rubrics to student documents, grade student documents, and leave both written and audio feedback.

Advanced Tasks
  1. Create a rubric that will work with Doctopus and Goobric.
  2. Use Doctopus and Goobric to "grade" the 4th assignment from the intermediate tasks.
  3. Add a written comment and a voice comment to each students submission.

  1. I love how you don't have to "make a copy" of docs anymore. Creating and turning in is so easy now. I'm hoping a parent portal component is coming soon.
